La Palma
La Palma is one of Orange Countys great little secret. Known for its excellent small town charm and civic spirit, La Palma provides a great way of life. We enjoy safe,
quiet and friendly neighborhoods and the picturesque Central park and Promenade. With one of the lowest crime rates in Orange County, La Palma is a place where you can rest easy and enjoy hometown living. Just 2 square miles, and home to about 15,000 residents, we are a tight knit community. In fact most folks have lived here for at least/more than 10 years, and 4 out of 5 are homeowners. One of the best reasons to check out La Palma is the citys commitment to quality of life. La Palma has recently undertaken the most ambitious program in public improvement creating rising property values and a happy thriving community. People are active here, always taking part in community and civic events. Dont be surprised at how many people youll meet at the next 5k run. La Palma is a community you and our family can take pride in.
TO DO
La Palma offers the best of hometowns all in a great location. We are happy to be in the entertainment center of north Orange County, located on the border with Los
Angeles County, we take advantage of being near good jobs and excellent entertainment venues. Just a few highlights include Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm and the Aquarium of the Pacific. For the sports fan check out the Angels baseball team at Edison Field or the Mighty Ducks hockey team at the Arrowhead Pond. There is always great music at the Anaheim House of Blues and the Grove of Anaheim. Southern California is known for its beautiful beaches and in La Palma we are
in luck. Just a stones throw down the road from some of the most beautiful beaches in all of Southern California in Seal Beach, where you can swim, surf, tan or just take a walk in the sand. Youll definitely want to check out the Los Alamitos Race Course, its a fun a day of world-class Quarter Horse, Arabian, Thoroughbred, Paint and Appaloosa racing. Best of all, these are all just minutes away.
EVENTS
La Palma might be one of the smallest cities in Orange County, but you wouldnt know that by the range and enthusiasm for our community events. The 5K and 10K Run/Walk Celebration gets your heart racing. This event has been a tradition in the city for the last 20 years, attracting as many as 1,200 runners from throughout California. Its a great way to meet others in the community. Each summer, thousands gather for La Palmas Concerts in the Park. The Central Park amphitheater comes alive with free concerts. On Saturday evenings under the stars, you might catch a swing band,
Polynesian music or a military brass band. For the past 14 years, La Palma Days means one big community barbecue. Our La Palma Days attracts more than 12,000 people during its three-day run. The city's signature event includes a carnival, live music at the park, the crowning of Miss La Palma and a parade that features some of the best school bands in the state. The Halloween Carnival is perfect for kids and parents alike with games, tiny tot play area, candy and a costume contest all with friends and neighbors.
