Tustin offers a tremendous array of community events for families and fun loving folks in the city.  The Spring Egg Hunt is quite popular among the younger residents of Tustin.  If you have a basket and the determination to find eggs dropped by a large rabbit, you just might have what it takes for this egg hunt.  There will be candy, games, crafts, entertainment, and the guest of honor, the bunny himself.  The Tustin Tiller Days is a three-day festival celebrating the city's pioneer days and includes a parade and carnival, you definitely wont want to miss this.   The Dinosaur Dash is one way the community shows its continued support for local schools with a 5K-10K run.  This fund-raiser for the Tustin Public Schools Foundation is definitely a reason to put on those running shoes, and there are no shoes too small or too large.   The Street Fair and Chili Cook-off is another one of our great community events.  This one-day event includes an old fashioned chili cook-off, craft fair, children's carnival, entertainment and food booths. The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting is held in Old Town and after the tree lighting ceremony, Tustin Old Town merchants keep businesses open and serve cookies and hot cider until 10:00 PM.

Where there are families and folks who enjoy the outdoors, there are parks and plenty of opportunities to get out into the sunshine.  Peters Canyon Regional Park is a community favorite offering sweeping panoramic views of the Saddleback Mountains.  The park offers a variety of graded roads and trails providing opportunities for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. The East Ridge View Trail provides a panoramic view of Peters Canyon and the surrounding area. Visitors can enjoy the beauty of Upper Peters Canyon reservoir while traversing the Lake View Trail. Peters Canyon Creek Nature Trail guides hikers through lush groves of willows and rare black cottonwoods supported by a running creek. Visitors will encounter the park's grassland, coastal sage scrub and riparian habitats as well as eucalyptus groves on the Lower Canyon Trail.  Tustin is home to more than 13 neighborhood parks spread throughout the city as well as the Columbus Tustin activity center, with a 9,900 square foot gym offering after school programs. Through its Parks and Recreation Department, the city of Tustin offers a wide variety of recreation programs and classes for all ages.  Tustin Today is published quarterly by the city, listing hundreds of activities ranging from parent education to Camp Tustin Day Camp to arts and crafts to senior activies to computers.  For those looking to work on their golf game, the Tustin Ranch Golf Club is the place for you.  One of the finest golf courses in Orange County, this classic Ted Robinson designed course is a great way to get out.  With breathtaking scenery, sparkling lakes and cascading falls at Tustin Ranch, youll see why it is consistently voted one of the "Best Orange County Golf Courses" by the readers of the Orange County Register.
